About 42Percent Noir
42PERCENT NOIR is a live performance project that combines acoustic piano playing with the digital visual art. On stage, the two sides are merged together to form a performance that explores the interesting relationship between sound, vision, and live-interaction.
About us
42Percent Noir is collaboration between Shaltiel Eloul (piano), a Phd student in Oxford University, and Gil Zissu (bass), a graphic designer. They first met in the music band Syndrome (2010), where they published their live method in NIME14. In 2013 they launched ‘Dag is a DJ’ – a performance where a fish is playing live electronic music. With the project, they performed in Kinetica 2014 – London and a comprehensive article published in Leonardo Music Journal.
